Carrick Gallery
Carrick is a place like no other, loved by many and tucked away in a sheltered corner of South West Scotland. It was the inspiration for an exhibition of Peter Jones’s paintings at The High Street Gallery, Kirkcudbright, charting the tides and seasons of this unique place. Ardwall Island, accessible by foot at low tide and then encircled by the incoming waters, became a focal point for these paintings captured at intervals across each day.
